Fresh out of college, I took a job as a part-time maintenance tech to give a buddy some much-needed days off. That was my first taste of professional maintenance, and I learned a universal truth very quickly: most "emergencies" aren't actually emergencies. They are simple fixes—tripped GFCIs, flipped breakers, or battery swaps—that just need the right eyes and instructions.
Fast forward 20 years. I still channel that inner maintenance tech, but the tools have changed.
